Two people were injured in a one-vehicle accident 7:55 p.m. Friday on I-44 west of Halltown.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 1996 GMC Sierra driven by Arturo S. Padilla, 51, Joplin, left the roadway, struck a tree, and overturned, ejecting both occupants.
Padilla and the passenger, Elmer J. Perez, 45, Webb City, were airlifted to Mercy Hospital, Springfield, with serious injuries.
