Neosho woman injured in five-vehicle accident in Clay County

A Neosho woman was injured in a five-vehicle accident 1:40 p.m. Saturday on I-35 southbound, north of MO 152 in Clay County.

According to the Highway Patrol report, all five vehicles were were southbound on I-35 when a 2012 Ford Escape driven by Kara K. Christensen, 23, Adel, Iowa, failed to slow for congestion ahead striking a 2015 Buick Enclave driven by Linda J. Heinen, 68, Des Moines, Iowa, and a 2014 Chevrolet Sonic driven by Terri L. Davidson, 59, Neosho.

A 2014 Volkswagen Jetta driven by Adam M. Faircloth, 30, Des Moines, Iowa, was struck by debris and then a 2013 Honda Odyssey driven by Aaron M. Phipps, 36, Kansas City, struck the Davidson vehicle before all vehicles came to rest.

Davidson was treated for moderate injuries at North Kansas City Hospital, A passenger in the Heinen vehicle, Louis W. Heinen, 70, Des Moines, was treated for minor injuries at Liberty Hospital.
