"Skills That Pay the Bills" program set for Webb City, Carthage students

(From Crowder College)

Crowder College’s Webb City location will host area high school 9th and 10th grade students in a career event called “Skills that pay the bills”.

Funding for this event was made possible through an AT&T grant that the college received in December.

This funding provides t-shirts to all participants and printed materials covering all the programs they visited.

Stations will be located throughout the building and campus featuring programs that prepare students for careers and employment in our area. Programs include: Advanced Manufacturing, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Fire Science, Emergency Medical Technician, Certified Nursing Assistant, Graphic Design, Preschool Teacher/Paraprofessional & Criminal Justice.

Students will be on campus from 8:15-10:15am as follows:

· Webb City High School – April 1

· Carthage High School – April 8
