A Baxter Springs, Kansas woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident 4:48 p.m. Monday on Apricot Road, one mile south of Joplin.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2010 Ford Crown Victoria driven by Jerry R. Deems, 60, Joplin, was stopped at an intersection when it was struck in the rear by a 2006 Nissan Sentra driven by George R. Barton, 58, Baxter Springs.
A passenger in the Barton vehicle, Miriam Barton, 57, Baxter Springs, was treated for minor injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.
