This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

  Limited tornado risk.
  Elevated hail risk.
  Elevated thunderstorm wind damage risk.
  Significant lightning risk.
  Elevated non thunderstorm wind risk.

DISCUSSION...

Windy conditions will continue today with southerly winds of 25
to 35 mph with gusts to near 45 mph in southwest Missouri and
southeastern Kansas.

Thunderstorms will develop by mid to late afternoon across
Arkansas and Oklahoma and move northeast into southern missouri by
mid evening with other supercell thunderstorms moving in from
Kansas along the dryline.

Some of the more intense supercell thunderstorms may produce hail
up to the size of baseballs, damaging wind gusts up to 70 mph and
isolated tornadoes. Any line segments that move to the north and
northeast will be capable of producing damaging winds and
isolated tornadoes. Supercell thunderstorms will be the more
common storm mode west of US Highway 65 with line segments more favored
east of US Highway 65. There is still some uncertainty in the
exact timing and evolution of storm development this afternoon and
evening. Additional updates are possible.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

Another freeze is possible Saturday night however chances are
 higher Sunday night.

Gusty southwest winds of 30 mph will be possible over southeast
Kansas and western Missouri on Tuesday.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation may be needed later today and tonight across
 the entire area.
