On Monday afternoon, July 9, 2018, at approximately 12:45 p.m., Law Enforcement Officers of the Pittsburg Police Department served a federal arrest warrant on a subject at the Regency Inn and Suites, located at 4023 Parkview Drive, in Pittsburg. During this incident, items believed to be methamphetamine, marijuana and phencyclidine (PCP) were located and seized.
Forty-five-year old Damon Lamont Beamon, of Kansas City, Missouri, was arrested without incident on a Federal no-bond felony probation violation warrant, in which the underlying charge was bank robbery.
Mr. Beamon was also arrested for felony possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and PCP with intent to distribute, felony possession of methamphetamine and PCP, misdemeanor possession of marijuana and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
The drug possession and distribution charges will be sent to the Crawford County Attorney’s Office for review.
