So you want to be a Carthage School Resource Officer

Are you the right person? We are looking the right person to be a school based Police Officer in the City of Carthage (School Resource Officer).

We are a very active city featuring Civil War and Rt. 66 history and we are looking for an ethical, professional, hardworking, and community minded person to protect and serve our schools. Only those who possess strong ethics, display consistent integrity and are willing to work hard for our community should apply. We welcome diversity in our department and all encourage all qualified candidates to apply. 

This person will be based at a Carthage School and will work on a nine-month contract with full employee benefits. Must be POST certified in Missouri, or able to transfer from another state.

DARE Officer Also Wanted

Are you the right person? We are looking the right person to be a contract employee teaching DARE at Carthage Schools. We are a very active city featuring Civil War and Rt. 66 history and we are looking for an ethical, professional, hardworking, and community minded person to Teach the DARE program. Only those who possess strong ethics, display consistent integrity and are willing to work hard for our community should apply. We welcome diversity in our department and all encourage all qualified candidates to apply. 

This person will be a part time contract employee teaching the DARE program at Carthage School. Must be POST certified in Missouri, and Must be a certified DARE instructor. Applications available at CarthagePD.org or at the police department and must be turned in to 310 W. 4th or emailed to application.pd@carthagemo.gov. The application process will remain open until the position is filled.
