Comments sought on Joplin Unified Planning Work Program

(From the City of Joplin)

The Joplin Area Transportation Study Organization (JATSO) is seeking comments on its Draft 2016 Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP). The UPWP is an instrument for coordinating transportation and comprehensive planning in the metropolitan region to broaden Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) awareness of activities and plans that impact surface transportation. The UPWP also outlines the JATSO’s fiscally constrained planning projects for the 2016 fiscal year. All comments must be received by Tuesday, October 27, 2015. Comments may be submitted to:

Public participation from citizens in the Metro area is the most important part of the planning process as they can identify everyday transportation issues that affect their daily lives. The JATSO Policy Board will review this item for approval on October 29, 2015 at 1:30 p.m.
