A new interview program called “KGCS Campus Talk” will debut at 9 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1.
The program features interviews conducted by students taking the Professional Interviewing class in the Communication Department.
Guests on the first broadcast will include Assistant Professor of Communication Shanna Slavings, assistant professor communication; Denver Johnson, head football coach; and Dr. Conrad Gubera, professor of sociology.
The 30-minute program will be immediately followed by a second installment of “KGCS Campus Talk,” this one featuring Director of Recreational Services Stephen Benfield; Taylor Best, a student member of the public relations group Purpose; and Jesse Walls, a student member of the LARP Craft club.
The programs will air again at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, and 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6.
“This type of hands-on learning is a valuable experience for students,” says Judy Stiles, course instructor and general manager of KGCS-TV.
KGCS programming may be seen over the air on digital channel 22 on regional cable television systems. The station operates as a service of the Department of Communication at Missouri Southern State University.
