Lion Pride Toy Drive planned

(From Southern News Service)

The History Club at Missouri Southern State University is teaming with Kaveman’s Kids for the Lion Pride Toy Drive, to be held the week of Oct. 26 at Missouri Southern State University.

Items sought include new or gently used toys, books, stuffed animals, games, gift cards, hats and scarves. Donation boxes will be placed around campus.

From noon to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, those who bring a new toy or other item to the MSSU Oval can have their picture taken with a Stormtrooper from “Star Wars.” Around a dozen campus groups will be on hand for activities including pumpkin decorating, tug-of-war and other games for kids. The event is open to the public.

Gifts will be distributed to area families in need during the holiday season.
