Missouri Southern State University students Kendric Carlock and Nicholette Wise were crowned Homecoming King and Queen during the all-campus picnic on Friday, Oct. 23.
Wise, a senior criminal justice major from Joplin, was sponsored by Alpha Sigma Alpha. The daughter of Heather McDonnell and Doyle Wise, Sr. she is involved with the Campus Activities Board, Phi Eta Sigma, Alpha Phi Sigma and CSSA. After graduation, she hopes to work in the criminal justice field.
Carlock, a sophomore theater major from St. Louis, was sponsored by Alpha Sigma Alpha. The son of Gloria Carlock, he is involved with campus organizations such as Southern Ambassadors, Southern Theatre and Kappa Alpha Order. He plans to become an educator after graduation.
Homecoming Royalty will be recognized during halftime at the Homecoming football game at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at Fred G. Hughes Stadium.
The King and Queen were selected during an election early this week at Missouri Southern. The other finalists were:
