The Neosho County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a cattle theft that occurred on November 7, 2017; six miles north of Parsons. There were 11 black heifers weighing approx. 750 lbs and one black bull weighing approx. 1100 lbs. The heifers were branded with a 3 and backwards G on the left hip. The bull was branded with a double XX on the left hip. The victim in this case is offering $5000 cash reward to the first person with verifiable information that leads investigators to identify the perpetrators of the crime. Additionally investigators believe that the above mentioned theft may be related to others recently in the area.
On 8/31/2017 a theft of 25 head of cattle from the McCune, Ks area was reported to Crawford County Sheriff’s Office.
On 10/04/2017 a theft of 13 head of cattle from approx. 8 miles northwest of Parsons, Ks was reported to the Neosho County Sheriff’s Office.
On 11/07/2017 the above theft of 12 head of cattle occurred approx. 6 miles north of Parsons, Ks.
On 12/02/2017 a witness reported seeing a man run out of a cattle pasture near a corral, get into the back seat of a four door truck and flee the area, south of K-47 near the Neosho/Crawford County line.
On 12/18/2017 a theft of 9 head of cattle (Red Angus) were stolen from the Altamont Ks. area was reported to the Labette County Sheriff’s Office.
I sure hope they catch them.
