Jasper Police Department arrests Nevada man on meth charge

On Tuesday, January 16th, 2018 at 1523 hours, A Jasper police officer made contact with Michael Hallam of Nevada, Mo, who was occupying a maroon Kia Optima , parked on the northeast corner of Pete’s Convenience store lot. Contact was made in reference to suspicious activity.

Hallam admitted he had drugs in the car. A search of Hallam’s pockets was conducted. The following drugs were found..... plastic baggy with around three grams of white crystal substance believed to be crystal methamphetamine, a plastic baggy with a small amount of marijuana inside, Plastic baggy with round white pills that were later identified as “Tylenol 3”, glass pipe with white powder residue. Suspected marijuana was found in the car.

Hallam was arrested and is facing felony charges of possession of a controlled substance.

Hallam is presumed innocent until found guilty in the court of law.
