Crowder College weekly update

Roughrider Student Activities
·         Constitution Day – September 17, at 12:30-1:45pm in the Elsie Plaster Auditorium, Neosho campus. Guest speaker will be Mark Smith (local attorney/adjunct) discussing "Hot Topics in Constitutional Law". This event is sponsored by the Social Sciences division.
·         PTK Induction at 2pm on September 27. Phi Theta Kappa is an honor society for full-time community college students who achieve a 3.5 gpa while taking at least 12 or more credit hours. Crowder Chapter Sponsors – Suzanne Puckett & Peter Broglio will be sending invitations to potential members.
Roughrider Athletics
·         Roughrider Soccer is now 1-4 on the season losing in double OT to Neosho County Community College, 0-1, this past weekend. They play away Sept. 15, 4pm, at MCC, but will entertain border rivals NEO today, Thurs., Sept 17, at 3pm. For a complete schedule go to: http://crowderathletics.com/sports/msoc/2015-16/schedule
·         Roughrider Fieldhouse is one step closer to groundbreaking with $450,000 in donations. The total project, $1.4M, will begin once 100% of the funds have been donated. For more information please contact the Foundation Office at 417-455-5646 or email: Foundation@Crowder.edu
Campus Community Events
·         The Longwell Museum will be closed September 11 – October 8, for remodeling. Watch for events and reopening in October.
·         The Silver Follies production is September 18 & 19, at 7pm, Sept. 20 at 2pm. General Admission - $6, Crowder Students, Staff & Seniors - $4; Children under 12 are free. Tickets available at the door.
