Jasper County Sheriff's Office to offer church safety training program

(From the Jasper County Sheriff's Office)

On January 23rd (Tuesday) the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office will be presenting a training titled “House of Worship, Security Team Options”. The training will cover safety aspects/concerns, and things to consider at houses of worship.

Deputies Shuster and Jobe will be presenting the class. They have presented this training at several local churches already, and since numerous other churches have requested the training, it was decided to just set a date and open it up to all churches to all attend at the same time.

The training will be held at the Light House Church, 801 S. Main Street in Carthage, Mo, January 23rd, from 6 to 9 PM.

The training is open to any church/house of worship from surrounding counties as well.

Seating is limited to 60 people, and it will be first come first serve. To sign up/secure seating you must contact Sgt. Tim Williams at 358-8177 ext. 1223. Again, seating is limited so don’t delay on contacting him.
