MSSU Choral Society looking for singers

(From Southern News Service)

The spring session of the well-known area-wide mixed chorus, the MSSU Choral Society, begins Monday, January 15, 2016, 7-9 p.m. in room 208 of the Music Building at MSSU.

There are no auditions, but it is hoped the singers have had some experience in a choir in the past, and all singers are welcome.

The class fee is $30 for the semester and covers a semester of choral singing.

The choir will prepare for its spring concert April 29, which includes a medley “The Musical World of Walt Disney”, a Missouri native, and “Made in the USA” a celebration of American Music.

Dr. Al Carnine, who founded the Choral Society in 1980 returns as conductor of the group
