One to three inches of snow expected, wind chills will range from 10 below to 20 below

..More Snow Today Then Bitterly Cold Tonight into Tuesday
Morning...

.An upper level low and cold front are currently spreading south
towards the region early this morning. A band of snow has
developed across portions of eastern Kansas into central Missouri
ahead of the front. Missouri department of transportation is
showing that the snow is already covering roadways across portions
of western and central Missouri early this morning. The bands of
snow will continue to sag south across the rest of the area this
morning. Snow will begin to end from north to this morning, with
the snow linger across only far southern Missouri this afternoon
before spreading out of the area completely by this evening.
Snowfall amounts with this system will range from around one to
three inches.

Bitterly cold temperatures will spread across the region tonight
into Tuesday. Lows will drop to around zero with wind chill values
falling to twenty to ten below zero tonight into Tuesday morning.

* WHAT...Snow Today. Very cold wind chills expected Tonight into
  Tuesday morning. Plan on slippery road conditions, including
  during the morning commute. Snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches
  are expected. Expect the coldest wind chills to range from 10
  below zero to 20 below zero.

* WHERE...Portions of southeast Kansas and central, east central,
   south central, southwest and west central Missouri.

* WHEN...For the Winter Weather Advisory, until noon CST today.
  For the Wind Chill Advisory, from 6 PM this evening to noon
  CST Tuesday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Be prepared for reduced visibilities at
  times. The cold wind chills will cause frostbite in as little
  as 30 minutes to exposed skin.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will
cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered
roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving.
The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can
be obtained by calling 5 1 1.

A Wind Chill Advisory means that cold air and the wind will
combine to create low wind chills. Frost bite and hypothermia can
occur if precautions are not taken. Make sure you wear a hat and
gloves.
