A Neosho man was killed in a one-vehicle accident 2:05 p.m. Wednesday on MO 59 one mile south of Ginger Blue.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2007 Toyota Scion TC, driven by Alfonzo Gutierrez Gama, 27, Neosho, crossed over the center line, struck a bluff and then overturned back across the highway, coming to rest against a guard rail.
McDonald County Coroner John Garwicki pronounced Gama dead at the scene at 2:45 p.m.
A passenger, Samuel T. Cosper, 22, was treated for serious injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
The fatality was the 82nd this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
